Katie & Austin’s Intimate Farm Wedding in Punxsutawney

Katie and Austin’s wedding at their family’s farm in Punxsutawney was nothing short of magical—intimate, serene, and beautifully heartfelt.

What truly amazed me was how they transformed a working barn into such a stunning venue. The original plan was to hold the ceremony by the pond, but the weather had other ideas. A light drizzle in the afternoon led us to move everything indoors—but thanks to their thoughtful preparation, the barn became the perfect backdrop for their vows.

One of my favorite parts of the day was Katie and Austin’s decision to share personal vows privately before the ceremony. I absolutely love when couples carve out this quiet time together—it’s such a meaningful moment, full of raw emotion and connection. You can feel the nerves of the day melt away the second they see each other. It’s always a privilege to witness.

Because of the rain, we also had to shift some portraits indoors—on the porch and inside the Jaramillos’ beautiful home. As a photographer, these moments are unexpected gifts. Stepping out of my comfort zone often leads to some of my most creative work. The staircase portraits, in particular, turned out to be some of my all-time favorites!

After the ceremony, the clouds parted and we were treated to soft, beautiful light just in time for portraits around the farm. The celebration continued with dinner in the tent, a gorgeous cake made by the groom’s mother (she nailed it!), and dancing in the barn long into the night.

It was such an honor to document this day—surrounded by love, laughter, and the couple’s closest friends and family. What a beautiful way to kick off my 2025 wedding season.

Congratulations, Katie and Austin!
