Tyler and Quinn

Tyler and Quinn had the most perfect wedding day on September 9th, 2023, at the Heritage Barn in Punxsutawney!

The forecast the week leading up to the wedding was calling for storms all day. The morning of the wedding as I was drinking my coffee, I heard thunder roll in and we had a huge downpour! I checked my weather app, panicking, and it said there would be storms all afternoon – and at the exact time of the ceremony. I was sure Quinn would be freaking out too, I know how badly she wanted an outdoor ceremony. And, of course, the view on the hill is a huge reason why couples book this venue and where they dream of shooting their portraits!

Well, all of the family and bridal party must have been praying hard that morning because by the time I had arrived at the barn, the forecast had cleared!!! We had a perfect overcast day and not a drop of rain!

There was, however, plenty of happy tears! Both the bride and groom were tearful before they had even seen each other. Add in a first look with dad, some hand-written vows, and heart-warming toasts from their best friends and fathers, and I’m pretty sure I shed some tears too! Their wedding was truly a beautiful day – both visually and emotionally.

One special ritual that I had never seen before took place right before the ceremony. After guests were seated, they were asked to pass the wedding rings among the crowd and pray blessings over them. I had never seen a “warming of the rings,” but I absolutely love the sentiment!

Oh, and I can’t forget to mention Quinn and her dad’s awesome father-daughter dance! I was one of the very few to know about this fun surprise. They started off with a traditional father-daughter dance – the sweet, slow dance everyone expects. But then suddenly the music changed and these two busted out with a choreographed routine to Footloose!

All in all, Tyler and Quinn’s wedding was perfectly them and I am honored to have been the one chosen to capture all the love and joy from their special day. Congratulations, to the new Mr. and Mrs. Armagost!
