Eli and Emily tied the knot at Gobbler’s Knob in Punxsutawney on October 16, 2021! Though the day began with rain, the skies cleared up in time for their outdoor ceremony in the woods. They celebrated with dinner and dancing on the covered patio and ended the night with a sparkler send off.
Now, I live in Punxsutawney, but I haven’t actually been to Gobbler’s Knob for a while, apparently! Because when Emily told me this was their venue, I was picturing something very different in my head. Their fall wedding day was absolutely gorgeous!
Eli and Emily wrote their own personal vows to each other, which they read privately before their first look. Emily also gifted Eli his watch, which is engraved “E+E” on the back with their wedding date (no excuses for this husband to forget their anniversary!)
Their ceremony site was literally in the woods – we took a golf cart to get there! The light peeking through the trees was the perfect backdrop to complement their rustic decor. Eli and Emily chose to include their incredibly adorable nieces and nephews as their bridal party, who led the way before Emily’s dad escorted her down the aisle.
We managed to sneak away for a little bit to take some portraits of just Emily and Eli in the woods before dinner, and of course I had to get one of that beautiful veil flying! These two are practically pros at posing since their engagement session, some of which are still my all time favorites!
The reception was outdoors, but the patio heaters and dancing kept everyone warm. This crowd was a DJ’s dream – everyone had a blast on the dance floor! At 9 PM, the guests lit their sparklers and the happy couple paraded through the tunnel of light for one last photo op!
Congratulations, Eli and Emily! I am so honored to have been there to celebrate with you and wish you many happy years together!
