Engagement Photos – Emily and Eli

I have so many favorites from Emily and Eli’s engagement session! Their property is just stunning – I’m so glad that Emily suggested we use it for their engagement photos. I wish I had those gorgeous shade trees and open fields to work with everyday!

But what really makes these images spectacular is Emily and Eli’s natural good looks and easy-going nature! I love it when the nervousness fades and a couple’s true personalities come out. And these two have such a sweet and gentle way about them that lends perfectly to my style of photography. My favorites are always the photos that capture the interactions between a couple or family. Even if it’s just snuggling in one another’s arms under a tree…that relaxed and comfortable body language is so different than the traditional “look here and smile” portraits and make for the photos I truly adore!

We could not have asked for a better day for this photo shoot – the weather was perfect, the sun was glowy and amazing (those skies were NOT made in Photoshop!), and even the cats looked at the camera for the family portrait! This was such a great session and so many amazing photos came out of it.
