This couple’s maternity session was so much fun! RaeAnne and I have known each other since elementary school, and I am so excited to have been able to capture this season of their lives for them!
I love seeing a mom-to-be embrace her pregnancy body by dressing up and going for the maternity shoot! I know that pregnancy doesn’t feel glamorous for most women, by this stage of the game there are a lot of changes that are uncomfortable and feel unflattering.
But you are beautiful! I see your selflessness, your perseverance, your transition into mom-mode.
The miracle of pregnancy reminds me of the transformation of a caterpillar becoming a butterfly – starting the journey as ordinary and, after weeks of physical changes, emerging as a new, beautiful being with new instincts and a new perspective. This transformation is so incredible it deserves to be captured on camera!
You may not even realize the extent of your transformation until it’s complete. You think you know what to expect, but the emotions go further and deeper than you can fathom until you’ve experienced them for yourself. There is nothing that touches your soul like holding your own child to your chest.
Take it from me – THIS is the beginning of the rest of your life. This is saying goodbye to being a couple, and hello to being a family of three. These moments deserve to be captured. These are your last days as an ordinary woman, for soon you will fully be a mother.
