Colby and Sylvanna promised their forevers to each other surrounded by nature and loved ones. Their outdoor ceremony at Bilger’s Rocks was simple, sweet, and perfectly them!
I knew from the minute I walked into the house where the girls were getting ready that I was going to get along well with this group! Sometimes wedding days can get lonely when I’m working alone, but everyone was so easygoing and quickly made me feel like part of the crew. I even got to snuggle some babies during bridal prep, and if you know me you know that baby snuggles are my favorite perk of the job!
Sylvanna shared an emotional first look with her Dad before heading off to Bilger’s Rocks for the ceremony. It’s always so sweet to see a father of the bride who looks tough but melts when he sees his little girl ready to be given away.
Sylvanna’s dad carried Sylvanna and Colby’s daughter, Lily, as walked her down the aisle toward her groom. They said their “I do’s,” exchanged rings, and shared a kiss to make it official!
After portraits, the bride and groom were escorted in Poppy’s mustang to their reception at Grampian Park.
My favorite thing about this wedding day was the emphasis on family. The remembrance table for passed loved ones was front and center at the reception hall, and I saw multiple members of the family with tears in their eyes as they wished for their loved ones to have been present with them. Lily joined in for part of the couple’s first dance. Sylvanna shared a dance with her father, and another dance with her step-father as well. And for sure, one of the sweetest parts of the day was when Colby and his grandmother were called to the dance floor for a special dance.
As you will see, they did not hold back on smashing cake into each other’s faces! Then onto dancing the rest of the night away!
Congratulations, Colby and Sylvanna!
