Engagement Photos – Mike and Rita

I was so excited for Rita and Mike’s engagement session because I knew we’d get to try out some new locations! For family sessions, I have my go-to spots with plenty of room for the kids to run. But for senior photos or engagement photos, we can venture off of the farm for more variety of light and backdrops!

These two have such quiet, sweet personalities! Don’t worry, my loud mouth filled all the silence 😂. But seriously, they were so great to work with. They totally just went with it as this crazy-talking photographer made them drive around the back roads looking for the glowy light!

For real, I just love how they’re not obnoxiously flirty/touchy-feely (my husband and I aren’t either, I can relate!) but they’re so comfortable in the lifestyle type poses – in each other’s arms, looking into each other’s eyes. That’s where I see their true emotions come out – the in between moments when the pressure to perform for the camera is gone and there’s a little flicker of a flirty smile or adoring eyes. So sweet!

And can I just point out how Rita totally rocks at that whole model face/smile with your eyes thing! All of these reasons put together made for an awesome engagement session and soooo many images for these two to choose from!

Spoiler alert: the rain (which was NOT in the forecast) was a nuisance at first, but brought those gorgeous skies at the end of our photoshoot!
